Server Access Rights

You can set server access rights in the Assigned servers area of a shared storage detail view. You can define whether a server has read and write permissions or only read permissions for a shared storage. Each shared storage has a single user, which all servers must use to log in to it.

  • RW: (read/write) the server has read and write permissions for the shared storage.
  • R: (read) the server has only read permissions for the shared storage.

Setting Server Access Rights

You can set the access rights for the servers directly in each shared storage. You can define whether a server has read and write permissions or only read permissions for a shared storage. Each shared storage has a single user, which all servers must use to log in to it.

  • In the left menu, click Infrastructure > Shared Storage.
  • Select a shared storage.
  • In the Assigned servers section, click Assign.

  • Click a server that is allowed to access the shared storage.
  • Select the type of access rights:
    RW: (read/write) the server has read and write permissions for the shared storage.
    R: (read) the server has only read permissions for the shared storage.
  • Click Confirm Changes.

The shared storage will be configured.
