Activating an Out of Office Automatic Reply in WebMail

For Web Hosting customers with a 1&1 IONOS email address

If the autoresponder is activated, the sender of an email automatically receives a reply with predefined content. You can also use this function to send an acknowledgement of receipt, for example. To activate an out of office message through WebMail, please proceed as follows:

  • Log in to WebMail.
  • In the main navigation, click the Settings tab with the three horizontal bars in the upper right corner and Edit Settings directly below.
  • Now click in the left navigation on the item E-Mail and below on the item Out of Office Note and set a check mark at Activate Out of Office Note. Then specify the sender, subject, and message. The changes are saved automatically.
