.NET Core 2.1 with Windows Hosting

This article shows you how to run .NET Core 2.1 in your Windows hosting package.

If you want to develop Web APIs, user interfaces (UIs), and other cloud-based applications with .NET Core 2.1, you must first enter this setting in the "PropertyGroup" line of your Microsoft Visual Studio project ($projectname).csproj:

<PropertyGroup>
<TargetFramework>netcoreapp2.1</TargetFramework>
<PublishWithAspNetCoreTargetManifest>false</PublishWithAspNetCoreTargetManifest>
</PropertyGroup>

This will load all required modules/packages required to run .NET Core 2.1.
