Changing the Password of a MySQL Database

For IONOS Shared Hosting Linux and Managed Server

You can set a new password for your MySQL database in your IONOS at any time. This is also possible if you have forgotten your password, as it is not necessary to enter the old password.

Step 1

Log in to the IONOS and select the appropriate contract.

Step 2

Select in the left navigation under My Products the item MySQL Database.

Step 3

Click the gear icon next to the desired MySQL database under Actions to display the menu of available actions.

Step 4

Click Change Password on the menu.

Step 5

Enter the desired password and then click Save.

Your password will now be changed. It may take a few minutes until the new password is active.
