Open an SSH Connection to a Linux Server with a Linux Computer

If you use Linux, proceed as follows to establish a SSH connection to your server:

  • Open a terminal (e.g. xterm).

  • Enter the following command in the terminal:
    ssh root@< SERVER'S IP ADDRESS>Upon the first login, the following message appears:
    Are you sure you want to continue connecting?

  • Optional: Enter the command yes.

  • Please enter your password.

You will be connected to the server.
