To customize the network configuration of a server to use an additional IPv6 address, you must first configure the IPv4 address as the static IP address. You can then add the IPv6 address as an additional IP address. To customize your server's network configuration to use an additional public IPv6 address:
You have assigned an additional public IP address to your server in the Cloud Panel.
You have assigned an IPv6 address to the server.
You have logged in to the server as an administrator.
Open the Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings.
Right-click the network adapter.
Double-click Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP / IPv6).
Activate the option Use the following IPv6 address:.
In the field IPv6 address, enter the IPv6 address assigned to the server.
Click in the field Subnet prefix length. The subnet prefix length is then entered automatically.
Confirm the open dialogs with OK.
Prerequisites: ou may receive a warning that the gateway is in another subnet. You can ignore it. In this case, simply confirm with YES that the configuration is to be saved.
The change will be applied. This can lead to a brief interruption of the Remote Desktop connection.
Prerequisites: If the server is not accessible via the main IP address or the additional public IP address after the change, you can log in to the server using the KVM console to check the configuration.
