Valid for AI Receptionist.

By default, your virtual assistant needs to understand your supported financial transaction types to properly handle shopper inquiries. Defining a dedicated billing profile (via the project_attributes_payment_methods setting) ensures your AI Receptionist can accurately communicate your checkout capabilities to clients. This article outlines how to establish and maintain your approved transaction formats.

Note

If this parameter is left completely blank, the virtual assistant loses its ability to determine your real-time checkout rules. This absence of data will cause the bot to express uncertainty when users ask about completing purchases.

Accessing the configuration area

  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • Click on Menu > AI Receptionist in the title bar. The AI Agent Portal opens.
  • Click on Customer Portal under Actions for the desired receptionist. The Dashboard opens.
  • Click on Settings from the left-side menu.

Defining your transaction rules

  • Type in project_attributes_payment_methods in the provided search field (Search by idn, title, group). The Payment Methods setting will appear.
  • Type out the specific payment options your company permits using natural, plain text.
  • Click on Save to apply these billing details to your AI Receptionist's logic.

Core functionalities driven by your payment settings

To understand why this setup is critical, here is how the AI utilizes your provided transaction data:

  • Customer inquiries: The AI can accurately advise buyers whether your establishment processes specific cards, cash, or digital platforms.
  • Dynamic conversational responses: Allows the AI to spontaneously generate precise statements regarding checkout restrictions when prompted by queries like "Can I pay with my phone?"
