Positioning website elements

Valid for MyWebsite Now.

The Flexibility feature allows you to freely place text and graphics in your MyWebsite Now project. This article explains how to do this.

Notes

The Flexibility Feature must be activated separately for each section.
Not all MyWebsite Now plans include the Flexibility feature.

Open the MyWebsite Now editor

Log in to your IONOS account.
In the title bar click on Menu > Websites & Stores.
If you have multiple contracts, click on Manage website in the tile with the name of your online project.
The Presence Suite for this project opens.
In the left menu bar of the Presence Suite, select Website > Website Editor. The MyWebsite Now Editor opens in a new window.

Activate Flexibility Feature

To activate the Flexibility feature:

Select Content in the left-hand menu bar of the MyWebsite Now editor.
In the detail window, move the mouse pointer over the desired section. A toolbar will appear in the top left-hand corner of the section.
Click on the Elements button. The Section options column is displayed.
Click on the Try it now buttontoactivate the Flexibility feature. If the Flexibility feature is already active for this section, the button is not displayed.

If the Try it now button contains an additional arrow symbol, your current plan does not have the Flexibility feature. Click on the button to switch to a plan that contains the Flexibility feature via the Show all plans button that appears.

Move elements

Once you have activated the Flexibility feature, move elements within the selected section using the mouse:

Move your mouse over the element to be moved. The element is highlighted and a square symbol appears in the top left-hand corner.
Hold down the left mouse button and click on the element. A shaded grid is displayed on which you can move the element freely. The grid and section expand automatically if you move your element beyond the grid limits.
