ATLANTA – February 22, 2021

Women Who Code (WWCode), an international community dedicated to inspiring women to succeed in technology, is partnering with IONOS, a web hosting and cloud service provider. The support of IONOS is backing the development of multiple events, as well as the WWCode Cloud Track’s educational programming, and the WWCode CONNECT Conference in June.

This is the first significant partnership between IONOS and Women Who Code. By supporting the nonprofit organization at the highest level, IONOS joins other WWCode Equality partners such as VMware and Bank of America.

“IONOS believes that supporting women in the tech industry is vital to ensuring that the future of innovation serves all people equitably,” says IONOS CEO Achim Weiss. “Through our partnership with Women Who Code, we hope to help build a more inclusive tomorrow, one where women are equally represented across all technology fields.”

The partnership between Women Who Code and IONOS will support several of the nonprofit’s key programs. This includes multiple technical and career training events for engineers, as well as a special digital event hosted by IONOS and WWCode CONNECT 2021, the nonprofit’s premier annual developer conference. In addition, the support of IONOS is essential to the launch of the WWCode Leadership Development Program.

“Women Who Code is looking forward to expanding our programming, reaching new members, and elevating and inspiring diverse women to be and become leaders in technology,” says WWCode CEO and Board Chair Alaina Percival. “The support of Equality Partners like IONOS is vital to the success of those initiatives and our continuing work.”

In the last year, Women Who Code has pivoted to make the 2,000 free technical events they host each year available in a digital format so that members everywhere can take part in them safely. During that transition, the company grew its membership by 25% to 250,000 and went from operating in 20 countries to serving members in 122 countries worldwide.
