What are Mailing Lists?

A mailing list allows you to set up a discussion forum at an email address where the discussion takes place by email.

Contributions that a list member sends to the mailing list are forwarded to all list members. For example, in a club, important issues can be discussed by members. You can define who is allowed to write to the mailing list. A distinction is made between moderators, members, and guests.

Please Note

Mailing lists can be subscribed to by any user. They are not intended to be used for the exchange of confidential information. To ensure that discussions take place within the intended audience, the moderator can add and remove list members.

If a member replies to a post in a mailing list, the address of the sender of the original email is preset. However, the member can change this manually in the mail program they use.

The maximum size of an email that a member sends to a mailing list is 6 MB.
