This is a whitelist project run by the Association of the German Internet Industry (eco) in collaboration with the German Direct Marketing Association (DDV).
This centralized whitelist acts as an interface between senders of bulk emails and internet service providers, designed to ensure that desired emails from reputable senders reach their destination without any problems.
A further advantage of participating is that successful delivery is managed across multiple providers.
