If your HiDrive account is nearly or completely full, you may encounter being limited in your ability to save, rename, copy, or move your data. This article explains what you can do about it.
Avoiding Storage Space Problems
For file actions, HiDrive creates an internal copy that is automatically deleted again after execution. If the available memory is low, this copy can cause problems.
The following options can help avoid this problem:
- Compress files or folders as described in this article. Then, you can delete or remove the files that you used to create the .zip file.
- Delete files and folders that are no longer needed, such as HiDrive backups that are no longer important.
- Pay particular attention to the development of the file size and the number of files in automatically generated objects, such as log files.
- Upgrade to another HiDrive package with more storage space.
