Finding Your Credit Card Security Code (CVV)

The credit card security code or card verification (CVV) number is a three- or four-digit number that you can find directly on the credit card to prove that you have the physical card in your possession.

Most Credit Cards (For Example: Visa and Mastercard)

The security code on most credit cards is a three-digit number that appears AFTER the account number on the back of the card in the signature field.

With American Express, the security code is a four-digit number on the front of the credit card printed above the card number.
