This article explains how you can securely delete a block storage for Cloud Servers, and what precautions you need to take.

Caution

If you delete the block storage, all data stored on it will be irrevocably lost. In addition, errors and inconsistencies may occur with installed applications file system after deleting the block storage. For example, if you have combined the boot partition and the block storage into one volume, and delete the block storage, inconsistencies may occur in the file system, meaning that the server may no longer be accessible. Therefore, before deleting the block storage, make sure that the data on it is not required by an application, and that the block storage is not part of a volume.
