Duration of a Domain Transfer to IONOS

The time it takes to transfer a domain depends on the procedural rules at the relevant registry (registrar).

Generic and new top-level domains: transfer takes a maximum of 5 to 6 business days
Generic Top-Level Domain Examples: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .name…
New Top-Level Domain Examples: .photo, .web, .online...
DNS Update: additional 24 to 48 hours
A Name server update is usually necessary as part of the transfer.

If all prerequisites for your domain transfer are met, it will take approximately a week until the domain transfer is complete.
