A Blocked Senders List (formerly called a blacklist) is a list of email addresses from which you do not want to receive emails. All emails received from email addresses in your Blocked Senders List will be delivered directly to your Spam folder.

By using a Blocked Senders List, you can prevent emails from unwanted senders showing up in your Inbox folder, but you will still have the ability to see what they sent in your Spam folder if you so choose. You can remove email addresses from the Blocked Senders List at any time if you would like to receive their emails normally again.

You can also specify a domain instead of a single email address, which will cause all email addresses belonging to the domain to be considered on the Blocked Senders List. For example, if you block *@gmail.com, anyone with a Gmail address will be blocked.

If you are looking to completely prevent emails from certain email addresses or domains, you should instead create mail filter rules.

Opposite to a Blocked Senders List, you can create a Safe Senders List (formerly called a whitelist) to categorically allow the receipt of emails from certain addresses/domains to ensure they do not get put in the Spam folder.
