Creating a MySQL Database on a Managed Server

This article explains how to create a MySQL database on your managed server.

With MySQL your managed server has a powerful database system. Many popular applications, such as the Content Management System (CMS) Joomla, are optimized for operating with MySQL databases. When you create a new database in the IONOS, the latest MySQL version available for your package is automatically selected.

• Log in to IONOS.

• Click Hosting  under My Products and select the desired contract.

• Then, under Databases , click Manage.

• Click Create Database.

• Enter a password. Optionally, enter a description for the database you want to create. To create the database, click Save.
