Install the Monitoring Agent on your server to receive information about free disk space or running processes.

To install the Monitoring Agent on your server, proceed as follows:

Please Note

If you are using a local, host-based firewall on the server, you must enable incoming connections from the following IP addresses for the TCP port 5666 in this firewall:

  • 82.223.45.131
  • 74.208.141.82
  • 212.227.218.82
  • 109.228.63.82

If you want to reject ICMP packets on your local, host-based firewall and take advantage of all surveillance checks, you must also allow ICMP. 

Prerequisite

You are currently in the Infrastructure section > Server of the Cloud Panel.

Install Monitoring Agent

  • Select the desired server.

  • Click DVD Drive.

  • Click Applications.

  • Click Monitoring Agent.

  • Click Load DVD

    The DVD is now loading. This process may take a few minutes.

  • Click Actions.

  • Click Start KVM Console.

  • On the upper right, click Send Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

  • Log in to the server as an administrator.

  • Open Windows Explorer.

  • Double-click the DVD drive.

  • Double-click the install_monitoring_agent.exe

    The Monitoring Agent is now installed.

Please Note

In order for the monitoring policy to continue retrieving information on the server, the existing rule for ICMP must be activated in the Windows Firewall.

Activate file and printer sharing in Windows Firewall

To activate the file and printer sharing in Windows Firewall

  • On the Home page, click Control Panel.

  • Click System and Security.

  • Click Windows Firewall.

  • Click Advanced Settings.

  • Click Inbound Rules.

  • Activate the rule File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-inbound).
