If you want to use the Excel ROUNDUP function to calculate multiple figures using different forms of rounding, it makes sense to copy the values from other cells. This speeds up the process of applying the function.
In the following example, the figure to be rounded up is copied from cell A1 and the number of rounding digits from cell A2. The result is to be displayed in cell C1. Here’s how to use Excel ROUNDUP with the Function Wizard:
- Step 1: Select cell C1.
- Step 2: Click on “Formulas” in the menu bar. Click on “Insert Function” on the left.
- Step 3: Type “roundup” + [Enter]
- Step 4: Double-click on “ROUNDUP” and place the cursor in the “Number” box
- Step 5: Select cell A1. The cell name appears in the text box of the Formula Builder. Place the cursor in the “Num_digits” box and hit DONE.
- Step 6: Select cell A2. The cell name appears in the text box.
